Highlights of unlock 4 guidelines issued by MHA



While issuing guidelines for unlock 4, the Central Government has stated that schools, colleges and other educational institutions will continue to remain closed for students and physical classes all over the Nation till September 30.


The MHA guidelines states as under,

"After extensive consultations with all the states and UTs, it has been decided that schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will continue to remain closed for students and regular class activity up to 30th September 2020".

Metro will be allowed to operate with effect from 7th September 2020 in a graded manner.


The MHA said that in areas outside containment zones up to 50 percent of teaching and non-teaching staff will be permitted to come to schools for online classes after September 21.


With effect from 21 September, social, political and religious functions will be permitted with a ceiling of 100 persons.


There shall be no restriction on inter-State and intra-State movement of people and goods and no separate approval/ e-permit will be required for the same.


Subject to written consent of their parents or guardians, students of standards 9 to 12 may be permitted to visit their schools, in areas outside the Containment Zones only, for taking guidance from their teachers.


Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks and theatres to remain closed.


Open air theatres will be permitted to open with effect from 21st September 2020.


Without prior consent of the Central Government, no State Government shall impose local lockdown outside the containment zones.


Lockdown shall continue to be implemented strictly in the Containment Zones till September 30, 2020.
